"Jack Vander Linden is a sophomore pitcher from Georgetown University. He spent this past summer pitching for the Bellingham Bells of the West Coast League. The Dallas, TX native went 1-1 and had a 2.42 era in 22.1 innings of work. He appeared in 15 games, saved one and fanned 15 this summer.  Jack recently answered four questions for us. Summer Ball--Who was your favorite baseball player when you were younger? Jack Vander Linden--When I was young, I was a huge Rangers fan and my dad had season tickets. I would always want to go when Kenny Rogers was pitching because he'd always give me the ball he was warming up with in the bullpen. I also loved Nolan Ryan and at one time in my life I would not take his jersey off. My parents would have to come in while I was sleeping to take it off me, so they could wash it. I guess I've always been drawn to pitchers." Original Story
