GOLDPANNERS 200TH ALUM TO REACH THE MAJOR LEAGUES!
3/23/8: Brian had a big day against the Twins on Sunday with a double, two singles, a walk and two RBIs. At long last, Toronto is developing several homegrown catching prospects, with Jeroloman already regarded as the top defensive catcher in the system. Over two pro seasons, he has hit .253, but scouts expect his bat to improve. Baseball America says he has the “best strike-zone discipline” of any player in the Jays’ organization.
10/3/7: Jeroloman fuels romp "The 22-year-old catcher shattered his previous career best of three RBIs, accomplished twice during the regular season with Class A Advanced Dunedin. Selected by the Blue Jays in the sixth round of the 2006 First-Year Player Draft, Jeroloman batted .259 with three homers and 39 RBIs in 100 games in the Florida State League."
JULY 17, 2004 - "But with McGinnis making the turn for home, Panners leftfielder Mike Lissman picked up the ball and fired in a perfect one-hop strike to catcher Brian Jeroloman, who put the tag on McGinnis to end the inning and preserve the Panners one-run lead. "Coach Ed (Cheff) has really helped us working on balls coming off the turf, and at UF it's the same thing," said Jeroloman, the Florida freshman. "I've worked on that a lot and trying to block the plate."
JULY 13, 2004 - "I try to get mad at the pitcher," said Jeroloman, explaining the attitude he brings to the plate when he's hitting . The opposing pitcher may be determined to beat him but Jeroloman is more determined not to let it happen. "When you're mad, you're more aggressive at the plate," said Jeroloman. "I'm constantly trying to take any advantage of the pitcher I can get. If I get ahead in the count I can be more aggressive, but if I'm behind in the count, I'm more patient."
